Courtesy photo<\/em><\/strong>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Jones ended his professional boxing career six years ago, however, he came out of retirement last September for a single fight against former UFC champion Anthony Pettis, ultimately losing by points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During an interview, Jones conveyed his willingness to confront Paul, stating that he was contemplating the idea and required some time to focus on improving his fitness for the upcoming event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMaybe I get myself in shape for that. I never thought about doing it before, but with the situation of the fight, I think that&#8217;s a great idea and I&#8217;ll be ready and in shape because if the fight doesn&#8217;t happen, then the ideal guy to substitute in place of Mike Tyson to fight Jake Paul is something I have been thinking about. If the fight is out there, then yes,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jones, at the age of 55, still shows great enthusiasm for stepping back into the ring, especially to face Paul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jones Jr., a versatile American athlete, was born in Pensacola, Florida, USA on January 16, 1969. Throughout his career, he has excelled in various fields such as boxing, basketball, rapping, and acting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His achievements in professional boxing include winning numerous world titles in various weight divisions such as middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By J.
