Moyo Stars SS from West Nile and the hosts, thumped Ndejje SSS, 7-0 during a thrilling symbolic friendly female soccer encounter which was hosted at Ndejje University Vision Arena sports complex.
This was during the formal opening ceremony for the Secondary Schools Games 2024, which are currently taking place at Ndejje SSS in the Luwero district.
Erasto Kibirango, the Luwero district, chairman opened the event.

He noted that soccer has become a very profitable game worldwide because players are making enormous sums of money when they compete professionally.
He stressed that since the women’s soccer tournament was becoming more and more popular, all school boards ought to take the initiative in supporting their teams so that they receive visibility and are placed in a position to be chosen by the nation’s governing body.

Both teams appeared fit and happy, but it was evident that the West Nile women were more tactically sound, stronger, and more upbeat than their Ndejje SS counterparts, who were unable to match the attacking forces and were forced to concede four goals by halftime.
The girl’s soccer encounter games at Ndejje have started rolling off as several teams continue to play at various play grounds within the Luwero district schools.
