As the competitions for the Secondary Schools Fresh Dairy Games 2024 kick start, several big-time schools have expressed concern and worry about the big size and superior quality of competitors from some traditional rivals exclusively the Seeta High-Mukono based giant.

The concerned parties who did not want to be named secretly pointed fingers at Namilyango College who have continued to perform exceptionally well at both local and regional levels in sports and games disciplines.
However, the college games master Christopher Oluk while privately reacting to the comments by rival competitors told the East African Gazette during an exclusive interview yesterday at Ndejje SS the host for the 2024 secondary schools’ games that they have sent a strong team of 65 to compete in five disciplines which automatically places them in a favorable position of amassing more points to qualify to the EAC regional round.
The development means that it is only Namilyango with a big financial wallet enabling them to comfortably send more exclusive and highly trained teams to participate in several disciplines concurrently which automatically makes them favorable to qualify for the East African games.
“We have brought in five highly trained and prepared teams to compete in the areas of Rugby, Hockey, Badminton, Table tennis and Lawn tennis respectively, all adding up to 65 participants’ noted Oluk.
He pointed out that before going to Ndejje, they first qualified at both district [Mukono] and regional level [central] as they played in both Rugby and Tennis at central region level while the other disciplines from the district level respectively.
‘We have prepared the boys for a must kill or win and our motto here is that we either win or they lose however the ground is set for full action’ noted the beaming Oluk as flanked by his respective sector coaches.
The college has been until recently the reigning Rugby champions of the East African community secondary schools region and are hoping to build on this strength to recapture that prestigious trophy.
