Mubajje made the recommendation during the closure of the two-day ICUC Stakeholders Retreat, hosted by Prof. Juma Wasswa Balunywa at the
Balunywa Leadership Academy in Garuga, off the Kampala-Entebbe Airport highway on April 28 2024.
Mufti Mubajje Prof. Dr. Badru Kiggundu and Prof. Juma Wasswa Balunywa, for their technical support and contribution of funds towards UMSC developmental programs.
Mubajje thanked Balunywa for hosting members of the governing council of the Islamic Call University but also mentoring them on how to build
the university into a top-class institution.
“This training has been crucial for them because we want to redefine this university. We want it to offer relevant courses at affordable prices for the benefit of our people,” Mubajje said.
He noted one valuable managerial concept he learnt from them, “one minute manager” and the “eating a big frog” approach, which he found
practical and beneficial in tackling challenges.
He welcomed the new ideas during the retreat, aligned with ICUC’s Strategic Development Plan, of obtaining the University Charter that will enhance infrastructure development, foster collaborations with other Universities, and offer accredited academic programs.
He explained that this will also increase enrollment that will lead to having more trained staff, and mobilizing resources which is key in
advancing development.
