Disappointment has rocked the Namilyango college student community after emerging reports indicated that their scheduled trip to Trinity College Nabbingo for social outing with the girls suddenly hit a snag without a clear reason.
It would be remembered that just last year during the celebration marking 121 years of Namilyango college, the speaker of parliament Anita Among offered a bus to transport the boys to Nabbingo for a social fete and cautioned the boys to observe discipline while at the visit..
The announcement by Among sent a barrage of loud cheers from the boys and a sizable delegation of the girls from Nabbingo who had attended the celebrations.
The offer for the bus greatly excited the boys as they reportedly began rehearsing their anticipated dance strokes as well as selecting the best vocabulary to be used while engaging the girls during the dance party.
However as fate would have it the college bosses under unclear circumstances suddenly halted the preparations but when our reporter questioned the college headmaster Constantine Mpuuga Sajjabbi about the trip which was publically supported by way of offering transport logistics by the speaker of parliament, he evasively said the trip would happen but without further comment.

But the boys got the shock of their life after learning from intelligence sources that the headmistress of Trinity College Nabbingo Nassozi Immaculate Lwanga made a big unfortunate statement about their anticipated trip recently while addressing a big gathering of her parents and old girls during celebrations marking Nab bingo’s 81 years of existence.
Lwanga reportedly congratulated the girls numbering to over 100 for having made history when they recently stormed the strategic St.Henry;s college Kitovu for a social and Networking event saying when the girls’ bus cruised past Masaka city streets, it sent shock waves and excitement among locals who looked on in awe as if president Museveni’s convoy had hit the city streets.
However when our reporter contacted the deputy headmaster Drake Rubongoya Charles about the development, he visibly expressed concern but quickly said the trip for his boys to Nabbingo would happen soon after being halted over some unforeseen challenges.
‘Yes the boys turn would soon come and they will definitely storm Nabbingo because we don’t want to be seen as having abused the transport pledge from the speaker’ the bulky Rubongoya noted saying his college has a strong historical bond with Nabbingo which has been respected by all both past and current administrations of the college.
