The old students of Trinity College Nabbingo have appreciated the recent Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate Education (UACE) performance by thanking God for the good performance.
The Old girls through their umbrella body Trinity college Nabbingo old girls Association (TCNOGA) held thanksgiving Mass over the weekend at the college in honor of the UCE and UACE shining stars.
The college headmistress, Immaculate Lwanga in her speech after the animation Mass led by Msgr Gerald Kalumba the Vicar General for Kampala Archdiocese, said that the former candidates did a great job when they reportedly posted good results.

She said there was an improvement in the general academic performance at both UCE and UACE with total of 138 candidates that sat for UACE examination passed with flying colors as 124 got 3PP, 09 got 2PP and 05 scored 1PP respectively
Lwanga pointed out that the positive trend towards performance of sciences was very important as sciences subjects were the best done in the college, however important to note that mathematics had the highest number of distinctions at UCE and chemistry led to the drastic increase of number of ‘A’s scored at ‘A’ level.
She attributed the positive trends to the board of governors and PTA executives that freely allowed financing the budget that has kept the staff motivated to work as well as fixing the students’ health, welfare and general activities leading to timely accomplishment of set programs.
Msgr Gerald Kalumba during his preaching urged girls to continue working hard and ensure that they put God first as well as respect the laws of the country.

The board chairman Rev. Fr Joseph Mary Ssebunya congratulated the best students and promised each star will receive 1m/= as a token of appreciation for keeping the college on top of the academic agenda.
He pointed out that the outgoing students should keep the high level of discipline as they join the University education which has many societal challenges saying they should remember that whatever they sow is what they would reap.
The president of the Trinity College Nabbingo Old Girls Association [TCNOGA] Marie Solome Nassiwa Lubowa congratulated all the college stakeholders including the board, PTA, parents, teachers and the community of Nabbingo for putting together their efforts which collectively led to the best performance by the students saying that is why we are celebrating as a family.

Sarah Kagingo the Vice board chairperson of the Private Sector Foundation Uganda [PSFU] who was chief guest recalled how the college contributed to her current success story saying she was taught how to be disciplined, respect elders, love to share and learn from others, be tolerant to the divergent views of others as well as fear of the Lord the most merciful and provider of all wisdom person in order to command the future as a distinguished leader.
She said the culture of Ubuntu must be inculcated into the minds of all the citizens of the country and encourage all to love their country, respect the laws as well as work hard to overcome the burden of societal negative challenges.
Kagingo who is CEO soft power communications, worked as principal private secretary office of the late speaker Jacob Oulanyah before worked in state house as special presidential assistant for communications among other assignments
