Dokolo
The Forum for Democratic change (FDC) chairman in Igar village has endorsed Uganda People Congress Party (UPC) candidate Sarah Aguti Nyangkori ahead of the Dokolo by-election on Saturday 16 March 2024.

The local council leader James Ekuju while welcoming the UPC leaders led by their party President Jimmy Akena Igar village welcomed them. He said as far as his village is concerned; they already passed a resolution to support the UPC candidate Aguti.
Ekuju revealed that the MP Cecelia Ogwal had told them that if they are to have any election, they should support Aguti in her political career. He said that in the 2021 election Aguti stood down for Ogwal.
“We are supporting her to go to parliament because even late Ogwal had told them that if she ever retired in politics, they should support their daughter from the village. And for that reason, FDC supports her” he said.
In the recent nominations of UPC Anna Okwir aspirant stepped down in favour of Aguti because Aguti has stood twice contesting.
The President of Uganda People Congress Party (UPC) Jimmy Akena said they have received good reception from the people but warned those to rig the elections, leaders should be elected on merit.
“We have come here for serious business and the first order of business is to win the Dokolo by-election on Thursday 21st March 2024. I can assure you that your vote will be protected. I’m not going to leave Dokolo until the last vote is cast, counted, and declared.
Akena warned those thinking to come with rigging tricks that they will meet him on ground.
He made the remarks campaigning for the Party Candidate Comrade Sarah Aguti Nyangkori ahead of the Dokolo by-election at Alway village 16 March 2024.
Aguti thanked the members of Dokolo for spearheading the nomination exercise, and showing solidarity.
“Am grateful that Party President Akena participated in the Amwoma and Dokolo sub counties campaigns. I want to increase support in education, health and economic empowerment”, she said.

She said she is aware that where she is going is not a joking area and has to deliver what the people of Doloko need.
She urged the campaign team and all UPC members to continue with solidarity, sacrifice, organisation and comradeship spirit exhibited so far.
“We encourage you to be more committed and hardworking than ever before,” she added.
The Chairperson of Alebtong LV 5, David Odongo said UPC has arisen up and will roll up to the rest of the country with time.Odongo said in the last election the managed to get new MP from Oyam and with this one it clearly show the other competitors that they are the only party that will Unit Uganda.
