President Museveni has called upon the fighting forces in Sudan to cease fire and hold peaceful elections where people of Sudan will elect their leaders.

President Museveni also emphasized the need for all stakeholders in the war to come together and engage in dialogue that will bring peace in the country.
Museveni said this to the delegation from Sudan led by the deputy chairman of the Transition Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan, Malik Agar who delivered a special message from the President of Sudan, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.

The two leaders agreed on a proposed framework within which to resolve the crisis in Sudan. Malik informed President Museveni that President Abdel Fattah al- Burhan is willing to participate in the peace process for his country as long as the conditions are favorable for the people of Sudan
