Willy Mboode, 39, a student pursuing master’s degree in International Relations and diplomacy at Ahlul –Bayt International University in Tehran has praised Iran for the good relationship with Uganda that has enabled him to secure a full scholarship.
Mboode said he has been yearning to study abroad but there was no opportunity for him although he tried several times applying for scholarships in European Countries.
Mboode noted that since President Yoweri Museveni signed bilateral Relationships with his counterpart the President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, It opened doors and created opportunities for the Country.

In July 2023 Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi visited Uganda and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with President Yoweri Museveni and since then, the MOU has opened the doors for Uganda and strengthened the good relationship between the two Countries.
During the visit, the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi signed various MOU with Uganda President Museveni in areas of Trade, visa exemptions among Ugandans, agriculture, fisheries, animal cooperation, health, and livestock production.
In his message, Raisi also promised to set up the Iran House of Innovation and Technology in Uganda to construct technical and vocational training institutions that will aid in exchange of educational experiences, training and consultancy.
During his visit President Museveni expressed Uganda’s readiness to continue with the cooperation and the good relation that have existed since the Islamic revolution.

Mboode praised the National Resistance Movement (NRM) under leadership of President Museveni for maintaining peace not only in Uganda but also in the East African and African Continent.
Mboode who is a lawyer by profession, research and a politician called upon Ugandans to support Government programmes in transforming the community.
“ Although there is dissatisfaction among opposition leaders, but it’s better to consider the interest of the country which is peace first and everybody should work towards achieving peace despite of political affiliation’’ he noted
Mboode who is in Iran for not more two week acknowledged Iran for good infrastructure making the train transport more affordable for Iranian, saying transportation is low as a peny

He applauded the Embassy of Iran in Uganda and Ahlul-Bayt International University for giving scholarship to many Uganda students
Promised to lobby and transform people of Buzaya , Kamuli after study
Mboode who is also a resident of Mbulamuti Town Council in Buzaya, Kamuli District said as a diplomat, his role is to preach peace, among the countries but fumed to lobby for his people in Buzaya especially in terms of Education, Health and employment.

Mboode is a Ugandan Lawyer by Professional, Researcher and politician, he pursuing a masters Degree in International Relations at Ahlul-bayt International University, hold Bachelor’s degree of laws from Uganda Pentecostal University, Post Graduate Diploma in Public administration and Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre Makerere .
