The Buganda kingdom establishment has been urged to carry out investigations into the escalating cases of criminality as largely committed by youths aged below 20 years

Tom Kaaya was the former member of the renown Kwagalana group who owned Kaki investments group, a franchise of taxis will be remembered for being instrumental in the building several churches, owned a dairy farm and rendered countless charitable activities among others who died two years ago which event was held at Mengo Kaki group headquarters .

The minister expressed her deep concern at the increasing cases of criminality including drug addiction, alcoholism, acts of sophisticated robberies, executing cruel murders, raping women who expose both suspects and victims to deadly diseases such as HIV Aids.
She noted that police crime reports claim that the majority of crimes are perpetuated by Buganda youths in the central region of the country who are shockingly aged below 20 years and wants Buganda kingdom leadership to take action by using or engaging both cultural and religious leaders to speak to parents who own these youth.
‘It is very worrying to note that majority of these cases are from Central Uganda region and with majority committed by Buganda youth aged 20 years which trends must be disturbing to all positive minded citizens of the country including the government and Mengo which has the responsibility of revisiting the old cultures of talking to the children and inculcating in them good morals in order to remain relevant in future’ counseled the minister who was a former Mengo cabinet minister herself.
The Rubaga deputy RCC Anderson Burora also said as head of security in the division, increasing security reports are indicating that many more young people are directly involved in gross acts of criminality and are responsible for the escalating cases of high-profile robberies within the city suburbs.
Cold murders of innocent lives as well as drugs and alcoholism addiction saying security would take harsh action against any young persons involved in acts of criminality without mercy.

‘As head of security committee in Rubaga division we are increasingly finding it disturbing to note that majority of the culprits arrested on a daily basis are youths from Buganda who are involved in these chain of crimes
But as government we are sending a strong warning that we shall wipe them out one by one until the people of Kampala get peace of mind’ noted Burora.
The chief guest was Uganda consular to Namibia Ambassador Godfrey Kirumira who congratulated Annet Kaaya the widow for standing steadfast with the family during those trying moments saying he will continue giving all the necessary guidance to ensure stability of the family.
