The Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje has received the Singaporean 2nd Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Prime Minister Mohamed Maliki Bin Osman, who paid a courtesy call to, at his office in Uganda Supreme Council (UMSC) headquarters, Old Kampala on Monday.
Dr. Mohamed, accompanied by his wife, is currently in Uganda for the 3rd South Summit at Munyoyo Resort Beach.
Mufti Mubaje told Osman about the brief regarding the historical background of Islam and relation regarding both countries on climate conditions, population demographics, economic opportunities, and the exchange of vital information and ideas.

Dr. Mohamed Maliki Bin Osman, the Singaporean 2nd Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Prime Minister accompanied by his wife paid a courtesy call to Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda right, at his office in UMSC headquarters, Old Kampala on Monday . Dr. Mohamed, is currently in Uganda for the 3rd South Summit at Munyoyo Resort Beach.
The both parties expressed an interest in fostering more interactions through formal, planned visits aimed at supporting developmental programs.
But prior to meeting the Mufti, Dr. Mohamed Maliki’s entourage was warmly received by Hadji Abbas Ssekyanzi Muluubya, the UMSC Secretary-General, along with his deputy, Hon. Counsel Haj Muhammad Ali Aluma, who oversees Finance and Administration. Dr. Mohamed also had the opportunity for a guided tour of the UMS complex before the substantive meeting.
The high-ranking UMSC officials present were Kagiiko Imam Shaffi, Secretary for Social Services; Yaziidi Katureebe, Secretary for Administration and the head of Human Resources.
