The Ugandan opposition party leaders of pro-democracy forces yesterday Dec 21 2023 held a joint prayer for the country ahead of 2026 peaceful transition. The function took place at National Unity Platform (NUP) headquarters in Makerere-Kavule Kampala suburb.

The prayers that attracted different political party personalities include, Ken Lukyamuzi of Conservative party (CP), Mugisha Muntu of Alliance for National Transformation (ANT), Erias Lukwago Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Katonga, Kiiza Besigye former president of FDC, Winnie Kiiza former leader of opposition, Ugandans among others.

During the prays, team prayed for the families of the deceased and handed over financial and food assistance to families of the victims to go through the festive season.
