Entebbe-based charity organization “Keddi foundation” has made a sounding donation contributing US$15,000 towards the success of the fourth-coming Busoga Kingdom Royal wedding.

His Majesty William Wilberforce Nadiope the IV is set to officially wed his Inhebantu (Queen) Miss Jovia Mutesi on November 18,2023 at Christ’s Cathedral Bugembe and later host he’s guests at a reception at the Kingdom’s Palace located within the same vicinity.
Speaking while handing over dummy cheque worth UGX 56m Al Hajj Ahmed Osman Noor, the second deputy Prime Minister of Busoga Kingdom and the committee member and leader in the affairs of the wedding at a function held at the Kingdom headquarters and offices in Bugembe Jinja on Saturday
Steven Keddi, the founder of Keddi foundation said as a foundation one of their core values was to serve humanity and promote Unity through the spirit of brotherhood and co-existing.. Therefore we are here to embrace and promote the cultural heritage of our Country Uganda.
As a foundation we opted to make a decision to take part in this historical moment in the making through their contribution to the ‘Busoga kingdom Royal wedding’.
“We are excited and pleased to be part of this historical moment in the making. As a foundation serving humanity, we felt this wedding was part of our calling and what better way to reach out and give back to our Busoga folks and brothers”, Keddi said.
“We’d like to wish the king and his queen all the best in their next adventure and endeavors of life and what it has to offer them in their next journey come Novembern18th”, Keddi added.
During the contribution, the foundation also announced a bursary offer for up-to 4-pupils for primary education and 4-secondary school going students for a period of up to four years in a row as per the Kingdom’s choice. Keddi also said they would sponsor at-least 2-University students intending to study cultural anthropology each year for two consecutive years for the benefit of the Kingdom.
They also offered a free internet package for a year to the kingdom’s oval office as well as donating 4 laptops to match this donation to run the Kingdom’s office affairs.
“We shall remain keen on working with the Kingdom to promote its affairs and its activities, this is just the beginning of our lasting relationship. As Keddi foundation we are built on the fountain of serving humanity and that’s what we are destined to do”, Keddi noted.
On his part the Busuga Kingdom Second Deputy Prime Minister Al Hajj Ahmed Osman Noor expressed gratitude towards the Keddi foundation’s pledge and welcomed their contribution which he said was timely. He said they were grateful to have such interventions from friends and well-wishers of their King His Majesty William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Nadiope IV the “Omukama of Busoga”, and the Kingdom at large.

He said they were set and up to speed with the highly coveted up-coming wedding event which is dubbed “The Embaga ya Mwenemu ” that he said would be filled with pomp and an experience of high-end ‘Royalty at its best’.

Steven Keddi is a Ugandan hailing from Butebo District (formerly Pallisa District) in the Eastern region of Uganda.
He through his Keddi foundation has extended considerable support to various communities in the past year and few months of the foundation’s establishment.
His foundation first came to light in Jan 2023 when he donated USD 10,000 to a 6-year boy in Kampala after viewing the toddler’s story on a local TV News bulletin then collecting empty water bottles for recycling to sell and support his sick grandmother.
In the story, Shakur Omiat was featured collecting empty water bottles to sell and get money to look after his weak grandmother, Christine Asio.
Then in July this year the foundation extended support to Buwuma primary school in Namisindwa District providing iron sheets worth millions meant for roofing of a classroom block that had been swept away by a hail-storm and heavy rains that affected the school.
Later the next month in August 2023 the foundation sponsored a heart surgery for 6-year-old Kevin Kizito from Sonde a suburb near Kampala.Kizito had been diagnosed with heart failure at the Mulago heart
Institute.
In September this year Keddi again through his foundation donated an ambulance to Butebo district formerly Pallisa District. The much-desired ambulance was highly welcomed by the district authorities who hailed the foundation for their donation.
Keddi is a former MP Aspirant for Butebo County in Butebo District formerly Pallisa District. He lost to the incumbent but plans to contest again in the fourth-coming elections come 2026 in the same Constituency.
