The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretary General, Richard Todwong has asked the party District electoral commission officers to remain honest and truthful as they conduct party elections.
“The registrars who will be involved in electoral malpractice if caught shall be dismissed with disgrace because they tarnish the party’s image of the ruling party that has led Uganda so well for many years,” Todwong warned.

Todwong made the remarks on today Tuesday October 31, 2023 during the engagement with election registrars and their deputies at the NRM electoral commission offices in Nakasero.
Todwong noted that “when you handle internal elections well and shun compromise, it will reduce the huge number of independent candidates who return in the final election.”
