Aisha Nanyonjo 25, a resident of Kasana Luwero, did not hide her excitement after getting a free hair drier from Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Nanyonjo narrated that she has been wanting to buy a drier to start her saloon, but money was her challenge.

Nanyonja was testifying during the celebration of Youth Day held at Kasaala playgrounds Luwero district recently, over 500 youth boosted with startup Kites
She noted that starting up a standard Saloon needs over shs 1.5 million and above but for the start, have managed to get drier, others I buy them during my course of duty.
Among the start kits included, sawing machines, popcorn machines, hair dryers, hair cutting machines, hoes, seeds, fertilizers, sprayers, slashers, grinding machines among others aimed at improving their livelihood.

Speaking while presiding over the celebration, the head of (ONC) Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye assured youth that President Museven ‘Jajja’ has not forgotten them, saying he will continues supporting them in an effort of fighting poverty among their homes.
‘’Our mission of wealth creation and self-empowerment, as an ONC office we don’t give cash but items and equipment that can help you and the entire population to improve their livelihoods.” Said Hajjat Namyalo
”I call upon all of you who have received these tools to utilize them to get something in terms of finances, your Jajja wants to see all of you economically stable,” Namyalo preached before she turned guns to land grabbers who chase people away from their lands, calling them to stop the vice, or else be ready to face the law.
She called upon Luwero residents to help in fight land grabbers that is tarnishing the image of the Government, President has never sent anyone to come and chase you away from your land, let work with leaders, police and security as we work together to fight land grabbers,” Namyalo urged

Mission fighting Poverty among Ugandan
Namyalo said Luwero is not the first time that ONC is supporting Ugandan to fight poverty, saying this month, ONC donated to the NRM mobilizers tailoring machines, farming equipment like sprayers, and herbicides. Others were; maize and bean seeds, saloon machines, popcorn machines, among others worth millions.
She noted that in April, ONC donated over 8,000 chicks and hybrid goats to farmers in Luwero District in what she called a poverty alleviation initiative, a special presidential arrangement to fight poverty in various parts of the country.

Endorsed President Museveni for 2026
During the celebration, Luwero endorsed President Yoweri Museveni to stand for 2026 presidential Election.
According to Ritah Nakamya one of the youth leaders in Luwero said President has been instrument in Keeping peace not only in Uganda but has also keeping peace in region including Somalia, South Sauden and mediating talks between the M23 rebels and Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and others

‘’For the youth, he has introduced Emyooga and Parish Development Model (PDM) that have improving their livelihood many families’’ said Nakamya
They also claim that president Museveni is still energetic and can still deliver as he has been saying age does not matter so long as one still has the capability as well as inspiring many young people to become leaders.
