The state minister for public service Mugasa Grace Mary has commended Bunyoro kingdom for choosing to invest and promote regional tourism which is a strategic resource for the region.
Mugasa who also hails from the same region, made the remarks on the launch and unveiling of the Bunyoro Kingdom tourism roadmap aims at exposing the potential tourism opportunities in the region as well as oil and gas projects which have turned the area into a global business hub.

“By launching this project, it means you are directly opening business and investment opportunities in the Kingdom which all focusses at creating job opportunities for the people”, the minister noted.
She congratulated the people of the East African community for celebrating the festive season piecefully saying they should be cautious as they gear up to cross into 2024 which must be a year full of prosperity and development.

The minister noted that the NRM government strongly cherishes cultural diversity among citizens of Uganda and EAC because African culture is our identity which people must be proud of at all times.
The woman MP for Hoima City, Nyakato Asinansi said people of Bunyoro kingdom must reap big from both oil and gas projects as well as this new tourism launched project which is likely to bring in foreign currency if we strategically positioned our citizens of the region well.
She urged the locals to upgrade their academic levels so that they can strategically compete for the lucrative highly paying jobs that are currently up for grabs.
As an area political leader, we are challenging those with capacity to study oil and gas courses to enroll with Institutions like the Petroleum Institute Kigumba so as to tap into lucrative jobs which will turn the region into a highly wealthy place.

She wished her people a fruitful festive season and prosperous new year 2024 as they educate their children since the future of the country is in the hands of the young generation.
She wished the Kingdom officials all the best as they endeavor to front for economic empowerment of the people of Bunyoro Kitara saying as parliamentarian, she would lobby for more developmental programs and projects.
She cautioned girlchildren to take care of unwanted pregnancies which may disrupt their future potential goals but instead focus on reading books and family household works.
